Coronavirus Safety Info

Updated on March 27th

Fellow Members,

I miss soccer and I’m sure you do too. Our last communication stated that we have suspended the season through March 31st. Since then Governor Stitt has closed non-essential businesses for 21 days in counties with confirmed CoVid-19 cases with the hope it will help put an end to this pandemic. This closure carries us through April 15th. Oklahoma Soccer Association is targeting April 25th as the season restart date, but it is subject to bans on gatherings and events being lifted.

While we don’t have a definitive timeline of when the season will resume, we have light at the end of the tunnel. When the state of Oklahoma and city of Broken Arrow change their emergency declarations to allow gatherings and events for our area, we will re-start activities soon after. We appreciate your patience in this uncertain time and look forward to playing this season when it is safe for our members.

Once the re-start is announced we will not have time to waste. To ensure players are ready to play, we are throwing down a 5-week series of challenges

Beginning today, you will find a weekly challenge on our website – https://bascok.com/club-info/club-wide-events/ba-soccer-club-soccer-challenge. The challenges are designed to get you and your player engaged in the game in preparation for the season. It wouldn’t be a true challenge if we didn’t have winners and prizes so get ready to show off!

There will also be training videos to develop your game. Have fun with your player, add some new skills and remember that until the season kicks off again – soccer starts at home!

Best regards,

Ben Newby

President

Broken Arrow Soccer Club
